The proposed resolution authorizes Amendment #1 to the an existing contract with Dimension IV Madison LLC for architectural and engineering consulting services for the Bartillon Homeless Shelter located at 1904 Bartillon Drive (Contract #9207). The original contract was passed via RES-22-00539 on August 2, 2022 (Legistar #72631) at an estimated cost of $1,059,262. If approved, the amendment would add $30,565.14, for a new updated cost of $1,089,527.14. Funding is available in Munis #13346. No additional appropriation is required.

Body
WHEREAS, City Engineering and Community Development Division (CDD) require architectural and engineering (A/E) consulting services to complete the Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Bidding and Negotiation, Construction Administration and Warranty work for the Bartillon Homeless Shelter; and

WHEREAS, City Engineering and CDD worked with the Purchasing Division to issue RFP # 11045 to solicit proposals for such services, and received 6 proposals; and

WHEREAS, an evaluation team consisting of Purchasing and relevant Engineering and CDD conducted a detailed evaluation, scored and ranked each of the proposals using criteria including cost, skill, equipment, past performance, and references; interviewed finalists and Dimension IV Madison Design Group was selected through this process;

WHERAS, during the design process several changes to the scope of work were required including: Adding a storage room, Adding exterior lighting for art installation, Adding some detailed furniture design/specification and Modifying the design to account for some incorrect survey information; and
